I'm an American physician who works in an Urgent Care clinic. I see lots of stupid or funny things that people do with-and-to their health. I cope by mumbling under my breath (and then posting about it on this pseudonymous blog). Thought you might be interested.

ChronicCurve explains just how much a pet dog has helped her to survive through physical and emotional pain. I really think “pet therapy” is sadly under-utilized in the medical field! There is so much strength to be found in having a pet who loves you no matter what, who depends on you to keep on keeping on, who listens without passing judgment.
